this crazy technical world we live in….i had no idea daylight savings was coming. and no i idea when it was here – everything just magically changed.
just attuned to the world clock.
kinda creepy.

we pulled off the southcity iron chef (much to my surprise) and i quickly boarded a plane to buenos aires.
luckily signifying the last of three major things to happen in the span of a month. gosh i hope winter is much quieter.
the anniversary week at local harvest was exciting and fun…i made tons of good food and we got tons of people connected to amazing farmers. thanks to everyone that supported us.
the iron chef went of without a hitch. there was beer and food aplenty and everyone that was involved seemed excited and pumped. the steadfast kate ryan took home the golden cast iron skillet – outcooking seven of southcity´s finest.
it was a full day of fun and amazingly good weather.
now i am very far south, souther than usual for me. all the way to argentina. the spanish here is bit different and the food is a lot different. it is nice to be far enough away to not worry about things…though my feet are beginning to hurt from the constant exploration.
buenos aires is a huge and beautiful city. lots of cars and buses and motorcycles. tons of places to eat and even more places to shop. i have been surprised by its metropolitaness…much like i have found myself in europe.
i will soon have pictures.
ciao…
friday keeps passing me by…without an affirmation.
so here i am to make it up. i found this floating somewhere in the internet abyss:

my days are filled with the amazing amount of stuff i need to get done. but, surprisingly, the thoughts don’t overwhelm me. though i do sometimes think i am not doing enough or getting enough done – i believe this is same way of being that allows me to get lots of things done. i push – myself, on through, to the next level.
but this thing that pushes me keeps me from relaxing. keeps me from stretching. keeps me from stopping to notice, observe, and write about the things in life that i find interesting. but i tell myself, “all in due time.”
i can tell you the things that made me happy to be alive today:
-beautiful fresh produce surrounding me in the wee hours of the morning.
-fresh missouri figs.
-sweet watermelon.
-sweet corn.
-juicy tomatoes.
-plump white peaches.
-kittens.
-motorcycles.
-bicycles.
-heat with little humidity.
-friendly people.
-the amazing community in and around local harvest.
and i learned that sometimes you have to trade somethings for other things.
